Many people want to Astral Project, also known as Out of Body Experience (OBE). This is a very difficult thing to learn to do but it really should not be.

The biggest problem is being patient. Patience is the first step in achieving this goal. My mom has been working on this for two years but still cannot do it as well as she would like. You must first have patience with yourself. It takes quite sometime to learn how to do this.

Secondly, you must not have fear. Fear is the biggest thing that gets in the way of Astral Projection. You must realize that there is nothing to be afraid of. You have total control over the situation and will not get stuck outside of your body. When you begin to realize this you will be able to more easily achieve your goal.

Remaining calm is the third most important thing. When you become excited as you are about to Astral Project, you will end up going back into your body. The thing is to remain as calm as possible.

I think that listening to a meditation audio that you like is very important. You must find something that totally relaxes you and makes it easier to calm your mind. A calm mind and body are very important for this.

We must be aware that there is no right or wrong method to achieve this goal. Everyone has different methods. Find guided meditations for Astral Projection or directions of other techniques that might work for you. Try them all until you find what works best for you. There is a chance that you may have to tweak the technique in order to fit your own personal style so that it will work for you.

Many people do not realize that there is no one certain way to Astral Project. It is very personal to each individual. What works for one, may not work for another. Some people envision rolling out of their body while others imagine grabbing hold of something and pulling themselves out. Others picture another room or an object away from their body in great detail. My mom does none of these. When she begins to see shadows, images and lights, she picks one to focus on. This is what works best for her.

As you begin to realize that you are leaving your body, you may have many different types of sensations. There may be a tingling throughout your body or merely in the back of your head,  limbs or lips. You may feel as if your body is trembling or you may feel as if feathers are brushing your face. There may also be a sensation of floating or moving. Sometimes you may even feel as if you are turning.

All of these are signs that you are leaving your body and you must remain calm. Do not be afraid. Do not be over excited that you are finally accomplishing goal. Merely stay as calm as possible.

The whole concept of Astral Projection is to bring more awareness your Spiritual Self. This is your true essence, who you truly are. You are not your physical body or who others tell you that you are. It is when you are out of your body that you realize who you truly are.

When you have learned to leave your body you can then begin to learn to have more control through clarity and awareness. Clarity is when you can “see” clearly what is around you. Awareness is when you can determine where you are and what your surroundings are. The best way to do this is to mentally say to yourself “clarity now” and “awareness now”. After some practice of this you will begin to notice that when you say these two phrases, things come into focus much better and you begin to have more control over your travels.

There is nothing wrong with Astral Projection and it is very healthy for your Spiritual Growth and your psychic abilities. This is something that anyone can learn to do but most people do not believe this. They believe that they are stuck in their body until they cross over. This is not so. We must remember that we have more power and freedom than we have been told.  – John
